Gaga Movement 🎟️
Limited Capacity seats available

Gaga classes are predicated on a deep activation of the body and physical sensations. Instructions are deployed to increase awareness of and further amplify sensation, and rather than turning from one prompt to another, information is layered, building into a multisensory, physically challenging experience. While many instructions are imbued with rich imagery, the research of Gaga is fundamentally physical, insisting on a specific process of embodiment. Inside this shared research, the improvisational nature of Gaga’s explorations invites movers to develop deeper connections with their own movement, both inside of, and beyond, the studio.

Moonburger - Caused Based Marketing: Is There a Better Way? (Lab Presentation)
Limited Capacity seats available

Moonburger, a plant-based burger stop, is imagining a burger stop for now leading with taste (and not mission). Solving many of the greatest social and environmental challenges of our time requires major, society-wide shifts. Human consumption is one of the most essential and powerful ways to effect big, systemic changes (alongside top-down policy change and others). But human consumption is a powerful and complicated machine. Is cause-based marketing really the best way towards changing hearts, minds, and behavior?

Cambium Carbon - Prioritizing Provenance: How to Build the First Brand in Lumber? (Lab Presentation)
Limited Capacity seats available

Why isn’t there a “local” or “organic” standard when it comes to sourcing wood? Lumber is a foundational scaffold for modern life – from our buildings and furniture to the pallets that carry our goods – yet we rarely consider its provenance. Cambium Carbon is introducing hyper-local supply chains and a new class of high-impact Carbon Smart Wood. How can they scale B2B adoption to architects, designers, and furniture companies?

Join Cambium Carbon leaders, hand-selected experts, & other See-Changers to help them develop a strategy to get wood buyers to adopt this holistically sustainable alternative and cultivate the story they need to tell to build a national movement around it.

Gaga classes are predicated on a deep activation of the body and physical sensations. Instructions are deployed to increase awareness of and further amplify sensation, and rather than turning from one prompt to another, information is layered, building into a multisensory, physically challenging experience. Inside this shared research, the improvisational nature of Gaga’s explorations invites movers to develop deeper connections with their own movement, both inside of, and beyond, the studio.

Checkerspot - Consumers Demand Sustainable Alternatives. Why Aren't Factories Producing Them? (Lab Presentation)
Limited Capacity seats available

Checkerspot is designing with biology to create bio-based performance materials and products. Trouble is, many factories are a black box and are resistant to adopting new materials. Brands are hungry to differentiate themselves in a crowded marketplace and companies need to meet aggressive ESG goals. And, now more than ever, consumers are demanding more sustainable alternatives but what happens when adoption of these alternatives, especially in big, global factories, remains slow and muddy?

Join Checkerspot leaders, hand-selected experts, & other See-Changers in a series of collaborative Labs as they unearth the challenges behind integrating sustainable materials into factories, discover what it takes to build transparent relationships with factory stakeholders, and how some smaller and more flexible microfactories might be the future of manufacturing.

Join cold water swimmer and vanishing cultural tradition specialist Justin Fornal for a unique combination of flavor, ritual, and meditative soak all set in the winter waters of Lake Champlain. Justin will present a selection of three aromatic resins along with three sacred hot beverages that he sourced during recent field expeditions. During the smelling and tasting experiences, Justin will provide both historic and ritualistic context for all of the offerings. He will also give instruction on how extreme conditions can enhance both our taste and smell perception.

Conditions permitting, all attendees will have their own private hole in the ice in which they may soak during the duration of the tasting.

From One to One Billion: Collective Action Makes it Happen
Limited Capacity seats available

Without proper implementation and acceptance, innovation is just discovery. Derek Thompson argues in his recent article in The Atlantic, Why the Age of American Progress Ended, that it's what happens after the figurative light bulb moment that matters most when it comes to changing the world. Join Kate Williams (CEO, 1% for the Planet) in this book club style workshop to explore what Thompson’s article can mean for how we might evolve our collective work. Come prepared to discuss and raise questions - this is a participatory session. Ultimately our goal is to engage and deepen our shared understanding to envision a new path forward.

Before coming to the session, we invite and encourage you to read Why the Age of American Progress Ended by Derek Thomas to get the most out of the session.

Psychedelics on the Psyche: Building an Impact-Driven Industry
Limited Capacity seats available

Launching a new product comes with its own nuances but introducing a new product in a non-existent industry brings even bigger challenges. The MAPS Public Benefit Corporation (MAPS PBC) is a clinical stage company dedicated to changing the way mental health conditions are treated. As MAPS PBC finds its footing, they’re examining what it means to achieve public benefit and taking notes from other impact-driven, industry leading (and forming!) brands like Burton Snowboards. Burton was one of the founders of the snowboarding industry and remains a globally leading brand that has truly stood the test of time. Hear from Amy Emerson (CEO, MAPS PBC) in conversation with Donna Carpenter (CEO, Burton Snowboards) and Ali Kenney (Chief Strategy Officer, Burton Snowboards) as they discuss what it’s like to build an impact-driven brand in uncharted territory.
